UnderHost account setup times vary by service type. Shared hosting is instant, domains take about an hour, and Cloud VPS or dedicated servers typically provision within 6 hours during business hours. This guide explains what to expect and what happens behind the scenes.
Setup times by service
Shared Hosting
Shared hosting accounts are provisioned instantly after payment is confirmed. No waiting period. You will receive a welcome email with your cPanel login credentials and server information immediately.
Domain Names
Domain registrations typically activate within 1 hour after payment clears. If you pay by Bitcoin, confirmation on the blockchain may take an additional 10–60 minutes before the domain activation process begins. Once activated, your domain nameservers are ready for configuration.
Cloud VPS & Reseller Hosting
Cloud VPS servers and reseller hosting are provisioned within 6 hours during business hours. In some cases, provisioning may take up to 48 hours depending on:
- Order complexity or custom configuration
- Server location and data center processing time
- Time of order (orders placed outside business hours are processed the next business day)
- System resource availability
Dedicated Servers
Most dedicated server orders are provisioned within 6 hours to 48 hours, depending on location and configuration. Some locations may require additional time:
- Russia and some restricted locations: May take up to 5 days depending on server configuration and availability
- Custom configurations: May require longer provisioning time
- Out-of-stock components: If ordered CPU or storage is temporarily out of stock, UnderHost will upgrade your server to the next tier free of charge to avoid delays
You will always be informed by email if a dedicated server order requires additional processing time.
Business hours: Monday–Friday, 8 AM – 6 PM in each timezone (closed weekends and public holidays)
Office locations:
- Montreal: 8 AM – 6 PM EST (GMT-5)
- Vancouver: 8 AM – 6 PM PST (GMT-8)
- Amsterdam: 2 PM – 12 AM CET (GMT+1)
Orders placed outside these hours will be processed on the next available business day.
How payment method affects timing
Your account activates only after your payment reaches confirmed status. Different payment methods clear at different speeds:

Example: If you order shared hosting at 2 PM on a Friday and pay by Bitcoin, your account will activate after blockchain confirmation (usually 20–60 minutes), not during business hours. If you order a Cloud VPS at 7 PM Friday with bank transfer, the order review begins Monday morning, and provisioning starts after payment clears (typically Tuesday–Wednesday).
Manual review process
All orders go through a manual review by UnderHost's team to protect against fraud and ensure secure transactions. This review typically takes a few minutes to a few hours, depending on:
- Payment processor flagging for fraud screening
- Order details that require manual verification
- Custom or non-standard plans that require provisioning configuration
- Whether the order was placed during business hours
You will receive an email when your order is approved and your service activation begins.
What if my account is delayed?
Expected timeline:
- After 2 hours of confirmed payment and no activation, check your CustomerPanel for order status
- If still pending after 4 hours during business hours, open a support ticket
- For orders placed outside business hours, expect processing the next business day
If your account hasn't activated within the expected timeframe, open a support ticket and include your order number. UnderHost support is available 24/7 to help resolve delays.
After your account is ready
- Check your email inbox for the welcome email and activation notification
- Log in to CustomerPanel
- Go to Services → My Services and click your new service to view login details
