Your nameservers tell the internet which DNS servers are authoritative for your domain. After ordering a hosting plan at UnderHost, you need to update your domain's nameservers at your registrar to point to us.

Your exact nameservers are in the welcome email sent when your account was activated. Use those—they may differ from the general defaults shown above. Even for shared hosting, nameservers can be different from server to server, so the welcome email is the most reliable source.

- Welcome email-sent when your account was activated
- CustomerPanel → Services → My Services → click your hosting plan → look under Server Details
- Support ticket-if you can't find them, open a ticket and we'll confirm
How to set nameservers at your registrar
The exact steps vary by registrar, but the general process is the same:
- Log in to the website where you registered your domain (GoDaddy, Namecheap, Google Domains, etc.)
- Find DNS or Nameserver settings (often under Domain Management or DNS Management)
- Select Custom Nameservers (not the registrar's default DNS)
- Remove any existing nameservers and enter the two UnderHost nameservers
- Save the changes
After updating nameservers
DNS propagation takes time. After updating nameservers:
- Propagation typically completes in 1–4 hours
- In rare cases, it may take up to 24–48 hours
