Start with UnderHost: your first 15 minutes

Create your account, place your first order, and access CustomerPanel and your control panel. A quick-start guide for new UnderHost customers.

On this page

UnderHost is set up and ready within minutes of ordering. This guide walks you through the first five steps every new customer should take to get their hosting account live.

Step 1-Place your order

Choose a hosting plan from the UnderHost website and complete checkout through CustomerPanel. If you're unsure which plan fits your needs, see How to choose the right hosting plan or open a pre-sales ticket.

Payment methods

UnderHost accepts credit cards, PayPal, and Bitcoin. Bitcoin is the only cryptocurrency accepted. Bitcoin payments are confirmed and activated automatically-see How to pay with Bitcoin for details.

Step 2-Check your welcome email

After your order is activated, you'll receive a welcome email containing:

  • Your cPanel username and temporary password
  • Your server hostname and IP address
  • Your nameservers (e.g. ns01.underhost.com / ns02.underhost.com)
  • A direct link to log in to cPanel
Check your spam folder

Welcome emails occasionally land in spam. If you don't see it within 10 minutes, check your spam folder. You can also find your service details in CustomerPanel under Services → My Services.

Step 3-Access CustomerPanel

CustomerPanel is your billing and account management hub. From here you can:

  • View and pay invoices
  • Manage your services and domains
  • Open and track support tickets
  • Request s, upgrades, and cancellations

Log in at customerpanel.ca using the email address you registered with and the password you set at checkout.

Change your password

Log in to CustomerPanel and go to Hello [name] → Edit Account Details to set a strong, unique password for your account.

Step 4-Log in to cPanel

cPanel is the control panel for your web hosting. You manage files, email accounts, databases, and SSL certificates from here.

Your cPanel login URL is in the welcome email, or you can access it via CustomerPanel → Services → your service → Login to cPanel. You can also navigate directly:

https://yourdomain.com:2083

Use your cPanel username and password from the welcome email. Change the password immediately after logging in for the first time.

Step 5-Point your domain to UnderHost

If you registered your domain elsewhere (not at UnderHost), you need to update its nameservers at your registrar to point it at your new hosting account. Use the nameservers from your welcome email.

For a full walkthrough, see How to configure DNS for your domain.

Propagation takes time

After updating nameservers, allow 1–4 hours for propagation. Your site is live on UnderHost servers the whole time-visitors just need their DNS to update before they see it there.

Next steps

Once your account is live and your domain is pointing at UnderHost, here's what to do next:
