How to reset your CustomerPanel password

Forgot your CustomerPanel login? Request a password reset link by email, choose a new password, and what to do if the email does not arrive or you lost your two-factor device.

On this page

Your CustomerPanel password protects your billing account: invoices, services, domains and tickets. If you forgot it, you can set a new one yourself through a link sent to your account's email address.

Different from your service passwords

This is only the CustomerPanel login. cPanel, email accounts and your VPS root password are separate. For a VPS, see How to reset the root password on your VPS; for cPanel, How to change your cPanel password.

Reset your password

  1. Open the login page

Go to customerpanel.ca and click Forgot Password? under the password field.

  2. Enter your email address

On the Lost Password Reset page, enter the email address of your account (and answer your security question if you set one), then submit.

  3. Open the email

You receive an email with a reset link. The link works once and expires after a while, so use it soon.

  4. Choose a new password

Enter and confirm the new password, save, and log in with it. Use at least 12 characters and do not reuse a password from another site.

Change it while logged in

If you know your current password and just want a new one, log in and open the account menu (your name at the top right), then Change Password. Enter the current password and the new one twice.

The reset email did not arrive

  • Wait a few minutes and check your spam / junk folder.
  • Make sure you used the email address registered on the account. If you have several, try the others.
  • Request a new link; only the newest one works.
  • If you no longer have access to that mailbox, contact support. We will ask you to prove ownership of the account (for example, details of a recent invoice) before changing the email address.

Lost your two-factor device

If two-factor authentication is enabled, a new password is not enough: you also need the code from your authenticator app.

  • Use the backup code you saved when you enabled two-factor. On the code screen, choose the option to log in with a backup code.
  • After logging in, disable and re-enable two-factor to link your new device, and save the new backup code.
  • No backup code? Contact support; we verify your identity before removing two-factor from the account.
