How billing and invoices work at UnderHost
Understand how UnderHost billing cycles work, when invoices are generated, how renewals happen, and how to manage payment methods, upgrades, downgrades,
On this page
UnderHost bills monthly, annually, or on another selected term depending on the service. Invoices are generated automatically before renewal and can be paid through CustomerPanel using the payment methods shown on the invoice.
Billing cycle
Your billing cycle starts when the service is activated. If you order on the 15th, a monthly service renews on the 15th of each following month. Annual billing covers the full selected term and may include a lower effective monthly price than paying month to month.
How invoices work
- Invoices are generated before the due date.
- An email notification is sent when the invoice is created.
- Pay through CustomerPanel -> Billing -> My Invoices.
- After payment, the invoice status changes to Paid.
- Invoices are printable and include billing address and service details.
Renewals
Services renew automatically on their due date unless cancelled. If automatic billing is available and a supported payment method is saved, CustomerPanel attempts to charge the invoice automatically. Otherwise, pay manually before the due date to avoid interruption.
Domains registered with UnderHost also renew automatically if auto-renew is enabled in your domain settings.
Upgrades and downgrades
You can upgrade or downgrade eligible hosting plans from CustomerPanel or by opening a billing ticket. Plan changes are usually prorated against the unused portion of the current billing period.
- Upgrades normally charge the prorated difference for the rest of the billing period.
- Downgrades may be scheduled for renewal if the account must be reduced to fit the smaller plan first.
- Your next renewal invoice uses the new plan price after the change is active.
If you only need more disk space or monthly transfer, see How to order more bandwidth or storage. For full plan changes, see How to upgrade or downgrade your hosting account.
No minimum contract
Most standard hosting services do not require a long-term commitment. Monthly plans can be cancelled at any time. Eligible first-time shared hosting and reseller hosting plans may be refundable within the first 14 days only where the money-back guarantee is expressly advertised. After that period, you can cancel and use the service until the paid period ends.
VPS, cloud servers, dedicated servers, custom servers, domains, licenses, addons, IP addresses, SSL certificates, setup fees, management fees, migrations, CDN services, and third-party costs are non-refundable after order, provisioning, issuance, allocation, or delivery. See Is there a minimum contract or commitment? for details.
