How to order more bandwidth or storage
Need more monthly transfer or disk space for an active hosting service? Learn when to request a resource add-on, when to upgrade the plan,
If your website is approaching its bandwidth or storage limit, UnderHost can usually help by adding resources where available or by moving the service to a better-fit plan. The best option depends on the hosting type, server capacity, and whether the extra usage is temporary or ongoing.
Add-on or upgrade?
| Need | Best path |
|---|---|
| Short traffic spike | Ask billing or support whether a temporary bandwidth add-on is available for your service. |
| Consistently high traffic | Upgrade to a larger shared plan, VPS, or dedicated server so the site has enough room every month. |
| Disk space almost full | Clean old backups, logs, cache files, and unused email first; then request more storage or upgrade. |
| CPU or memory limits | These are usually solved by optimization or a plan upgrade, not by buying only disk or transfer. |
Request more bandwidth or storage
- Log in to CustomerPanel.
- Open Services -> My Services and select the affected hosting service.
- Check for Upgrade/Downgrade Options or available configurable add-ons.
- If no add-on is listed, open a Billing or Sales ticket with the service name, current usage, and the amount of bandwidth or storage you need.
- Wait for confirmation before assuming the new quota is active.
High bandwidth or disk usage can be caused by backups stored inside the account, runaway logs, email buildup, hotlinked files, bot traffic, or a cache problem. Support can help identify the cause before you buy more resources.
How billing works
Resource add-ons and plan upgrades are billed according to the service type and remaining billing period. If the change is recurring, the new amount appears on future renewal invoices. If the add-on is temporary or one-time, billing support will confirm the charge and duration before applying it.
