View bandwidth usage for accounts in WHM
Use WHM to review monthly bandwidth usage for hosted cPanel accounts, compare usage by domain, and investigate spikes before limits are reached.

WHM includes a bandwidth report for the cPanel accounts under your reseller or server administrator account. Use it to see which domains are using the most monthly transfer and to spot unusual traffic before clients hit package limits.
Open the bandwidth report
- Log in to WHM.
- Search for View Bandwidth Usage.
- Open the report under Account Information or Account Functions, depending on your WHM theme.
- Review the current month or select a previous month when available.
Read the report

| Domain | The primary domain for the cPanel account. |
| User | The cPanel username that owns the account. |
| Monthly usage | Transfer counted for the selected month. |
| Limit | The bandwidth limit assigned by the account package. |
| Percentage | How much of the limit has been used. |
Investigate bandwidth spikes
- Check whether the account recently had a traffic increase, file download campaign, or media embed.
- Review access logs in cPanel for large downloads, bots, or repeated requests.
- Confirm CDN or Cloudflare caching is working if the site uses a proxy or CDN.
- Look for abusive traffic, hotlinked images, or compromised scripts.
Avoid limit issues
If a client is close to their bandwidth limit, you can move the account to a larger package, ask them to reduce heavy downloads, or enable caching. Package changes are made from Account Functions -> Upgrade/Downgrade an Account.
Bandwidth reports are accounting tools, not live DDoS dashboards. For active attacks or sudden service impact, check server status, logs, and firewall tooling.
