Which control panel does my UnderHost service use?
Find out whether your UnderHost plan includes cPanel, DirectAdmin, CloudPanel, or aaPanel, and where to access it. Different plans come with different panels.

Your control panel depends on the type of hosting you ordered. UnderHost includes cPanel on shared and reseller hosting, and offers CloudPanel or aaPanel on VPS plans. DirectAdmin is available on select plans.

If you ordered a Cloud VPS with a CloudPanel or aaPanel image, the panel is pre-installed. If you ordered a bare VPS (just the OS), no control panel is included and you would need to install one manually or request managed server setup assistance.
How to check which control panel you have
The easiest way is to check your original hosting welcome email. It will include:
- Your control panel type (e.g., "cPanel Login URL" or "CloudPanel URL")
- The login URL and port
- Your username and initial password
You can also check in CustomerPanel:
- Log in to customerpanel.ca
- Go to Services → My Services
- Click your hosting plan
- Look for a Login to cPanel, Login to DirectAdmin, or similar button in the service details
If you see a "Login to cPanel" button, you have cPanel. If you see "Login to DirectAdmin", you have DirectAdmin. For CloudPanel and aaPanel on VPS plans, the URL will typically be listed in your service details or welcome email.

If no control panel is listed
If your service details in CustomerPanel do not show a control panel login link, one of the following may apply:
- Your VPS was ordered without a control panel image (bare OS only)
- The control panel was not installed or is not yet configured
- The welcome email contains direct panel login details instead of a CustomerPanel button
In any of these cases, open a support ticket from CustomerPanel and ask the support team to confirm which panel is on your server and how to access it.
