Getting started with UnderHost offshore hosting

Set up your offshore hosting account: log in to cPanel, point your domain, set up email, install WordPress,

On this page

UnderHost offshore hosting works the same as standard shared hosting-you get a cPanel account with the same tools for files, email, databases, and one-click installs. The key difference is the server location and the jurisdiction it operates under.

Your welcome email

After your account is provisioned (instantly after payment confirms), you receive a welcome email containing:

  • Your cPanel login URL (e.g., https://server.underhost.com:2083)
  • Your cPanel username
  • Your cPanel password
  • Your server IP address
  • Your nameservers (dns1.underhost.com and dns2.underhost.com for offshore accounts)

If you don't receive the welcome email within 4 hours, check your spam folder or log in to CustomerPanel to find the service details.

Log in to cPanel

  1. Go to the cPanel login URL from your welcome email
  2. Enter your username and password
  3. Alternatively, log in via CustomerPanel → Services → your offshore hosting → Login to cPanel

Once logged in, you have access to all standard cPanel tools: File Manager, Email Accounts, Databases, Zone Editor, Softaculous, and more.

Point your domain to offshore hosting

To direct your domain to the offshore server:

  1. Log in to your domain registrar
  2. Change nameservers to: dns1.underhost.com and dns2.underhost.com

Or if keeping DNS elsewhere, add an A record pointing to your offshore server's IP address (found in CustomerPanel service details).

Offshore nameservers are different from shared hosting

Offshore hosting uses dns1.underhost.com / dns2.underhost.com, not the standard ns01 / ns02. Make sure to use the correct nameservers for your offshore account.

SSL on offshore hosting

Free SSL is available on offshore hosting via Let's Encrypt AutoSSL, the same as standard shared hosting. Go to cPanel → Security → SSL/TLS Status and run AutoSSL. The domain must resolve to the server first.

Payment methods

UnderHost offshore hosting accepts the same payment methods as all other services: credit cards, PayPal, and Bitcoin. Bitcoin payments are fully automated and processed within 3 blockchain confirmations. See How to pay with Bitcoin.
