There are two ways to point a domain at your UnderHost hosting. The method you use depends on where you want to manage DNS. Both work-choose the one that fits your workflow.
Method 1: Change nameservers (simplest)
Changing nameservers transfers DNS control to UnderHost. All DNS records (A, MX, TXT) are then managed from cPanel's Zone Editor or DNS Functions. This is the recommended approach for most customers.
- Find your UnderHost nameservers: log in to CustomerPanel → Services → your hosting → service details. They are listed there.
- Log in to your domain registrar (where the domain was registered)
- Find the Nameserver or DNS settings for the domain
- Replace the current nameservers with UnderHost's nameservers
- Save the change
Standard UnderHost nameservers:
- Shared hosting:
ns01.underhost.comandns02.underhost.com - Offshore hosting:
dns1.underhost.comanddns2.underhost.com - VPS/Dedicated (custom): Check CustomerPanel service details for the specific nameservers assigned to your server
Changing nameservers moves all DNS control to UnderHost. If you had custom DNS records (like Google Workspace MX records) at the previous provider, recreate them in cPanel Zone Editor after the change.
Method 2: Update the A record only
If you want to keep DNS managed at your current provider (e.g., Cloudflare, your registrar), just update the A record to point to your UnderHost server IP. This way only web traffic changes-email, subdomains, and other services remain unaffected unless you change them too.
- Find your UnderHost server IP in CustomerPanel → Services → your hosting → service details
- Log in to your DNS provider (registrar, Cloudflare, etc.)
- Find the DNS / Zone records for your domain
- Update or create an A record for
@(root domain) pointing to your server IP - Update or create an A record for
wwwpointing to the same IP - Save the changes

After the change
