Managed WordPress hosting: OneWP and MultiWP plans explained

How UnderHost Managed WordPress works: OneWP and MultiWP plans in Canada or offshore Europe, billing cycles, what the team manages and what you control, staging, 14-day off-site backups, free migration and what is out of scope.

On this page

Managed WordPress hosting means the UnderHost team runs the technical side of your WordPress site: the server stack, security, core updates, daily off-site backups and WordPress-aware support. You keep full WordPress admin access to your content, design, plugins and users. Plans are available in Canada or in an offshore European datacenter, at the same price.

From order to live

Most customers are fully live within 24 to 48 hours. Migration from your current host is free and handled by the team.

  1. Order your plan

Choose OneWP or MultiWP in Canada or offshore. The account is set up within minutes of payment.

  2. Send your migration details

Share your current hosting login through CustomerPanel, never by plain email. See Request a free migration.

  3. Review the staging copy

The team moves your site to a private staging copy so you can check it before anything changes for your visitors.

  4. Performance and security check

The team tests performance, applies hardening and checks everything works.

  5. Go live

You approve, and the team coordinates the DNS change to keep downtime to a minimum.

Staging and backups

  • Staging: test plugin updates, theme changes or custom code on a private copy, then push it live. Staging does not slow down your live site. See WordPress staging.
  • Backups: daily, stored off-site in a separate location and kept for 14 days. Restore with one click, or ask support. Longer retention is available on request.
  • Your own copy: for an extra safety net, keep an export of important sites outside your hosting too. See WordPress backup and restore.

What is not included

  • Custom development: custom PHP, new features or theme templates are billed separately.
  • Redesigns: full site redesigns are a separate design project.
  • Premium plugin licences: you buy these yourself; UnderHost does not mark them up.
  • Custom WooCommerce work: bespoke checkout flows, payment gateways or ERP integrations.
  • SEO services: audits, content strategy and link building.
  • Server root access: Managed WordPress is a managed environment. For SSH root access, choose a Cloud VPS or dedicated server.
  • Domain fees: domains are billed separately, except the one included with MultiWP annual plans.

Sites with millions of monthly visits or very large stores may outgrow these plans. The team will recommend Managed Business Hosting or a Cloud VPS when that happens.
