How to request a free website migration
UnderHost migrates standard cPanel sites for free. Learn how to submit a request, what information to provide, and what to expect during the process.

UnderHost includes a free managed migration for standard cPanel-to-cPanel website transfers. Our NOC team copies your files, databases, and email to your new account without any downtime to your current site.
What is included in a free migration
- Website files (public_html and all web content)
- MySQL / MariaDB databases and their data
- Email accounts and mailbox content
- Cron jobs
- SSL certificate (reissued automatically after DNS switch)
- Verification on a preview URL before DNS cutover
Free s are included with all active shared hosting plans. Large sites, non-cPanel hosts (Plesk, DirectAdmin, custom VPS), or very large databases may qualify for a custom quote. We'll advise before any work begins.
How to request a migration

Log in to CustomerPanel
Go to customerpanel.ca and log in.

Open a support ticket
Go to Support → Submit Ticket, select the Technical Support department, and use the subject: "Migration Request-[yourdomain.com]"

Provide your current host's credentials
In the ticket, include the access details for your current hosting account (see below). Our team will take it from there.

We migrate and you verify
Our NOC transfers everything to your UnderHost account. We'll share a preview URL so you can check the site before switching DNS.

Update your DNS
Once verified, update your nameservers to point to UnderHost. We can guide you through this step.
What information to provide
Include in your ticket:
- Your current host's name (e.g. SiteGround, Bluehost, GoDaddy)
- cPanel login URL and your cPanel username and password, OR
- FTP/SFTP credentials + phpMyAdmin or database access for non-cPanel hosts
- Your domain name(s) to migrate
- Any specific requirements (e.g. preserve existing email, migrate only certain subdomains)
Keep your current hosting active until the is verified and DNS has propagated to UnderHost. Cancelling early is the most common cause of downtime and email loss.
Migration timeline
- Files and databases: Usually completed within 2–8 hours depending on site size
- DNS propagation after cutover: 1–4 hours (up to 48 hours globally)
- Total time: Most s are complete and live within the same day
After the migration
- Test your site thoroughly using the preview URL before switching DNS
- After DNS updates, let's Encrypt SSL reissues automatically (takes 10–30 minutes)
- Verify email is sending and receiving correctly
- Keep your old host active for at least 7 days as a safety net
