How to set up alias or parked domains in cPanel
Point additional domains to the same website in cPanel. Parked domains are now usually managed as domain aliases in the modern Domains interface.

A parked domain, now commonly called an alias domain in cPanel, is an additional domain that displays the same website as another domain. It is useful for brand variations, alternate spellings, legacy domains, or domains you want to keep active without building a separate website.
Create an alias domain
- Log in to cPanel and open Domains. In older themes, open Aliases or Parked Domains.
- Enter the domain name you want to park, such as
exampleco.com. - If cPanel uses the unified Domains screen, choose to share the document root with the existing site you want the domain to show.
- Click Submit or Add Domain.
Point the domain's DNS to the same UnderHost service and wait for propagation. After DNS resolves, run AutoSSL from SSL/TLS Status if the certificate has not issued automatically.
Common uses for parked domains
- Domain variations -
example.com,exampleinc.com, andexample.coall show one site. - Brand protection - Register common variations so competitors or impostors cannot use them.
- Typo domains - Point common misspellings to your main site.
- Legacy domains - Keep an old domain active while promoting a new primary domain.
- Regional domains - Point regional variations to the same website when a separate site is not needed.
SEO and redirects
If multiple domains show identical content, search engines may see duplicate versions of the same site. For most production websites, create a 301 redirect from each alias to the canonical primary domain after adding it. See redirects in cPanel.
