How to use Backuply in cPanel
Backuply provides point-in-time restore of individual files, databases, and email accounts from server snapshots-without downloading a backup file.

Backuply is a backup management tool available in cPanel on servers where it is installed. It lets you browse and restore from server-side snapshots without downloading anything. You can restore specific files, a single database, email accounts, or your entire account from past snapshots.
Backuply is not available on all UnderHost servers. If you don't see it in cPanel, use the Backup Wizard instead, or open a support ticket to request a restore from server backups.
Accessing Backuply
- Log in to cPanel
- Search for Backuply or find it in the Files section
The Backuply dashboard shows recent backup dates, available restore points, and your backup storage usage.
Restore files
- Click File Backups
- Select a backup date from the list
- Browse to the file or folder you want to restore
- Check the box next to it
- Click Restore Selected
- Choose Restore to original location or Restore to a different location
- Confirm the restore
The restore runs in the background. A notification appears when it completes. Existing files at the destination are overwritten.
Restore a database
- Click Database Backups
- Select a backup date
- Find the database you want to restore
- Click Restore
- Choose to restore to the original database or create a new one
- Confirm
Restoring a database to its original location replaces all current content with the backup version. If you want to check the backup first, restore it to a new database name, inspect it in phpMyAdmin, then decide.
Full account restore
- Click Full Backup
- Select a backup date
- Click Restore
A full restore replaces all files, databases, and email on your account with the backup version. Use this only when you need a complete rollback-for example, after a severe malware infection or accidental mass deletion.
