Advanced SSL in DirectAdmin: certs and renewal

Upload custom SSL certificates in DirectAdmin, configure Let's Encrypt, wildcard certs, and force HTTPS.

DirectAdmin's SSL manager provides AutoSSL integration, Let's Encrypt support, and custom certificate upload for complete SSL control.

Upload custom certificate

  1. Log in to DirectAdmin as user
  2. SSL Certificate Manager
  3. Select domain from dropdown
  4. Paste certificate (.crt), key (.key), and CA bundle
  5. Click Install

AutoSSL and Let's Encrypt

DirectAdmin includes Let's Encrypt integration for automatic SSL:

  1. SSL Certificates → Let's Encrypt Certificates
  2. Select domains
  3. Auto-renews 30 days before expiration

Wildcard certificate setup

  1. Generate CSR for *.yourdomain.com
  2. Request from CA
  3. Upload in SSL Manager
  4. Covers all subdomains: mail.*, api.*, etc.

Force HTTPS redirect

  1. Domain Setup → Modify Domain
  2. Check "SSL Certificate" checkbox
  3. Force HTTPS enabled automatically
